A special meeting of the UCMC Vicars/ Executive Committee/ Board of Directors was held on the 7^th of August 2003 via conference call. This meeting was presided by Rev. K Zachariah Eipe, the Vice President of the Union of CSI Malayalam Congregations. Also Rev. T.O.Oommen, Madhya Kerala Diocesan Clergy Secretary and Mr. Kurian T Oommen from Hudson Valley CSI Church were special invitees. 18 members as listed above attended the meeting which included all the Vicars sent on deputation for 3 years to North America by the Madhya Kerala Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Thomas Samuel. Rev. Oommen George who had prior appointments was excused himself from the meeting.

This meeting was held to welcome Rev. John Philipose as Vicar of the CSI Congregation of Greater Lakes, Detroit and Rev. Saji K Cherian as Vicar of the St. Thomas CSI Church of Greater Houston. Rev. K. Zachariah Eipe and Mr. John Zachariah welcomed both the Vicars to the United States and congratulated them on behalf of all the UCMC Congregation members and the Presbyters.

The meeting was also held to congratulate Rev. P.U. Paulose who is celebrating the Silver Jubilee of his ordination as a Vicar of Madhya Kerala Diocese. Rev. K Zachariah Eipe gave detailed highlights of Rev. P.U.Paulose’s Achens accomplishments of his ministry for the last 25 years.

Rev. T.O.Oommen, Diocesan Clergy Secretary, also spoke congratulating the UCMC for coordinating such a wonderful meeting for Rev. P.U. Paulose and said he is happy to be a participant. Felicitations were also given by Rev. Sam T Mathew, Rev. George Cherian, Rev. Saji K Cherian, Rev. Alex P Oommen, Mr. John John, Mr. Shibu Kurian and Mr. John Zachariah. Rev. P.U.Paulose in his concluding message thanked all the participants.
